Tutorial Ez Vi over the update 1.4.3

As many people know, and suffer, the last update from the Nintendo DSi/DSi XL has blocked all the cartridges from the DS scene. But several cartridges keep offering a support for charging backups, among them the Ez Flash Vi

To make this cartridge works in our console we will need, before anything, that the microSD is formatted on FAT 32 and in a slow mode. This will avoid us to start again all the process when we have it already finished.

Note:This step is not required, but is advisable, the best thing is make a backup of what we have in the microSD and put all inside once is done.

This update will also allow us to use our Ez Flash Vi in a Nintendo 3DS with the update 2.1.0.4

Required:

Ez Flash Vi Update (the operative System is already included)
Console DS Lite, DSi or DSi XL (DSi or DSi XL with a previous version than the 1.4.3)

Instructions

1.Unzip the File Ez Flash Vi Update 1.4.3 and it will rest the following files

Folder EZ5Shell
File ez5isys
File ez5firmwreUP_V101.nds
File EZ5F106A.nds

2. Once we have put the microSD in the cartridge, and the cartridge inside our console (remember that the first time we must put it into a console without the firmware 1.4.3) Once we are at the menu, we must make two updates from the flashcard’s firmware in order to make it works.

3.Now it’s time to exec the file ez5firmwreUP_V101.nds, and it will ask us to press the button Y and then A. We have to wait a few seconds and then will appear the sentence: “Upgrade Successfully” and this moment we turn off the console.

4,Now it’s time to execute the file EZ5F106.nds once more, the same process as before (step 3). When the console shows again “Upgrade Successfully” we must turn off the console.

5.We delete now from the microSD the ez5firmwreuUP_V101.nds file as the EZ5F106A.nds This step is optional, but in this way we will avoid the updates by mistake.

6.And we will have the cartridge ready to work at Nintendo DSi 1.4.3 or 3DS version 2.0.1.4.
