Nintendo has updated the firmware for the Nintendo 3DS currently leaving it in version 220.127.116.11. For those users who have a flashcard, they will have seen that this update blocks the DSTWO preventing access data or the interface itself.
Fortunately, the Supercard Team has released a patch that allows us to continue enjoying the benefits of this cartridge even if the console is updated.
Do the steps? The usual. We will need the following:
- Nintendo DS console WITHOUT UPDATE (It can't be done with the 3DS already in the 18.104.22.168)
- OS DSTWO V.1.11
- Firmware DSTWO V.1.25
The first thing to do is to download the operating system and firmware. Once downloaded, unzip both files and you will have the following:
- Folder _dstwo
- File ds2boot.dat
- File dstwoupdate.dat
You have to copy these three files to the root of the microSD, so you just open the microSD on your PC, we need to see the files mentioned above.
Once done, we put the microSD in the cartridge and this in the console. We remind that it can't be donefrom the console that has the version 22.214.171.124. You need a console WITHOUT UPDATE to avoid problems with the versions, the best one is to take a DS Lite, who is lacking of updates.
When we go to access the menu, it will popup a window that will indicate that an update is available. To make it, you just have to press the A Button and wait for it to finish.
And ready! With this we have our Supercard DSTWO available to work on Nintendo 3DS with version 126.96.36.199.
