Acekard 2i in 3DS - HackConsoles EN

The Acekard Team brought us another solution to use the Acekard 2i in the new console of Nintendo, the 3DS. As the same of the rest of the tutorials, this will only allow us to execute the homebrew, backups and many things more in the DS mode, and the 3D mode will be unactived.

First of all, and so important, if you make the process of the update from the Acekard 2i bad, this can make your cartridge useless, so if you do that it will be under your own risk.

This tutorial, by this moment only works for 1 model of Acekard 2i, and if we make it work with another model, perhaps it doesn't work. We will start little by little, in order to enjoy in a few minutes this fantastic cartridge in our 3DS.

1. 1. Requirements

      1. Nintendo DS Console( every model but the 3DS)

      2. Operative System AKAIO.1.8.6a

   2. We must unzip the system Akaio 1.8.6a, and when we have already done that it will rest:

      1. A folder __aio

      2. A file akmenu4.nds

First of all and so important, we must format the microSD in FAT32 before we put the folder and the file in the microSD

1. 3. Once we have it installed, we put the microSD into the cartridge, and that to the console. When we turn it on, we must choice between microSD or Slot 2, we must chose microSD

At this point we will know( at this moment) if we can apply the patch to make it work at the 3DS. To know that when we are in the menu, we must press Start and will appear us a scroll menu at the right side of the screen.

We make the following things: Start – Move -Help

There will appear us the exact model from the Acekard 2i that we have. To make this tutorial compatible with your version must appear the following things:

• • Akaio 1,8,6

  • HW: 81

  • SVN: 1074( 1073 o 90 also are compatible, and if it's the HW:81 we can try without any problem to see if it works).

1. 4. If it is compatible we download the following file:

• • ak2ifw_update_3ds_v1DSi

1. 5. We put the microSD in the cartridge, and this once again in the console, once we are at the menu, we execute the file ak2ifw_update_3ds_v1DSi and it will say us to press start to begin the update.

Once is finished all the process, the cartridge will be updated and the icon will be changed by the game “Dorasu”. If we have reached that point, we have our Acekard 2i ready to work at Nintendo 3DS.

Note: If we can't make the flashing properly and we have the version what we mentioned before, try with formating again and repeat the process. At some moment I must have done that because it didn't work.
